The Swansea Electorate was established in 1981, stretching from Floraville, Redhead and Valentine in the north reaching right down to Budgewoi and San Remo in the South. The electorate is home to more than 63,000 residents across approximately 191 square kilometres.

The Electorate sits on the traditional lands of the Awabakal people with the southern side also encompassing the traditional lands of the Darkinjung people. The region has a rich history shaped by its deep connection to country, waterways, natural resources and industries. Residents are lucky to be spoilt by diverse landscape with beautiful lakes, magnificent ocean and thick bushland.
