I was elected as the Member for Swansea in 2015 after joining the Labor Party at the age of 19, inspired by its commitment to fairness, justice and equality. I have since dedicated my career to standing up for the values I believe in and working to build a better future for New South Wales.
Throughout my time in Parliament, I have been a strong advocate for social justice, quality public services and workers' rights.
In 2020 I introduced the NSW Jobs First Bill into the NSW Parliament to ensure that NSW Government spending created more jobs and economic opportunities by giving greater priority to local workers, businesses and manufacturers.
I am proud to have helped deliver reforms that make a real difference in people's lives, including safer staffing in our hospitals, improvements to the education system that give students more face-to-face time with their teachers and housing reforms that provide greater security for renters while helping first home buyers take their first step into the property market.
As the Member for Swansea, I am dedicated to working alongside the Premier to build a better NSW.
