LIBERALS AND NATIONALS LAUNCH CRACKDOWN ON BUILDING CRISIS VICTIMS
Late yesterday it was revealed that a spokesman for the Liberal and National building Minister, Kevin Anderson said that victims of the Mascot Towers crisis were trying to force the Government to pay for their work.
NSW Labor Deputy Leader, Yasmin Catley slammed the response from the Liberals and Nationals.
“What a mean-spirited and heartless thing to say to people staring down the barrel of financial ruin.”
“Rather than cracking down on dodgy certifiers and builders, the Liberals and Nationals are cracking down on victims of this building crisis.”
The Liberal National spokesperson said that victims of Mascot Towers were part of a “deliberate strategy to make the repayments unserviceable for most owners in an attempt to force the government’s hand to pay for the remediation work”.
